Joy Andrews, PA-C

Joy Andrews has worked in various roles in the medical field for over 20 years. She has experience in front and back office, as well as medical billing and coding, and was a Certified Professional Coder. She furthered her career and obtained a degree in Radiologic Technology. She was a spine/pain RT for many years (including here at DSSP), as well as a Clinical Instructor for PMI, before pursuing her career as a Physician Assistant. She has been a PA since 2017, focusing in pain management, and joined DSSP, again, in Oct 2022.

Joy is passionate about delivering excellent patient care with a focus on patient education. Her goal is for the patient and provider(s) to participate in collaborative decision-making, and she strives to effectively engage her patients to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their treatment options.

In her spare time, Joy enjoys camping with her husband and son, exploring our beautiful state of Arizona via road trips, live music, and ALL things food. She also has extensive volunteer experience with many organizations, including, Ronald McDonald House Charities, St Vincent de Paul, Feed my Starving Children, and, dearest to her heart, Special Olympics of Arizona.

She is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, licensed by the Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants, and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She also maintains her radiology certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Arizona Department of Health Services – Bureau of Radiation Control.
