Susan Sorosky MD

Susan Sorosky, MD, is a board-certified physiatrist at Desert Spine and Sports Physicians, where she treats musculoskeletal conditions with an approach focused on the whole patient, not just the symptom. She earned her BA from Yale University and her MD from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, then completed her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, ranked the top rehabilitation hospital in the country by U.S. News & World Report since 1991. Dr. Sorosky is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine. She is a member of the American Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the North American Spine Society, and has been named a Phoenix Magazine "Top Doc" in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation nearly every year since 2007, most recently in 2026. Her published research includes work on yoga and Pilates for low back pain and complementary treatments for neck pain, and she contributed a chapter on low back pain rehabilitation to Orthopaedic Knowledge Update: Spine 3. Dr. Sorosky's philosophy centers on building individualized, comprehensive treatment programs that support full recovery and help patients get back to the activities they love.
